It's not squirrelly if you set it up right—which is the whole trick. Even then, it's a precision tool. The one I had was set up by the factory guys to be forgiving, but I still had a bad day of it. Don't get me wrong: I loved it, and wrote it up for the site, but it is NOT Easy Mode. If you get one, be prepared to spend a good deal of time getting up to speed, as it were. Don't be surprised or discouraged if other people in lesser cars are faster than you at first. It's a learning curve.
Seriously, watching it fly in past my office window, knowing more than a million people will see it every year on the deck of the Intrepid... It made me proud to be American.
Seriously? Because I have only ever in my life and career driven one car that scared me, and it was the Ariel Atom. Be sure to set it up VERY carefully.
